Acupuncture (without needles)

What is acupuncture?

People often mistakenly believe that acupuncture is all about applying needles to acupuncture points. This is not necessarily the case. We do not pierce the skin with needles but instead have other, safer ways to stimulate acupuncture points.

How does it work?

Acupuncture taps into the traditional Chinese meridian system which are energy channels that spread throughout the body and interconnect other underlying systems. Each meridian has a special relationship with particular muscles, emotions, biochemical factors, levels of the spine as well as other meridians.

Energy known as ‘chi’ flows along the meridians and anything which restricts this flow will cause a build-up of excess energy behind the restriction and a lack of energy moving on from it. Such imbalances are associated with impaired health and performance.

The art of acupuncture is to diagnose where these restrictions are and find and treat the associated acupuncture points. As a matter of policy, we do not do anything to penetrate the skin at the Rêve Pavilion. Instead, we use a small electrical stimulator to treat the relevant acupuncture points.

“I’m so impressed with my treatment, it has revolutionised the way I look at my health. I would recommend this to anyone.” – R.C.

What does it do?

Stimulating the acupuncture points is a safe, painless and effective way of clearing the restrictions in the chi energy flow in order to balance the meridian system and also re-balance the body. Acupuncture is something that we at the Reve Pavilion do using a measurable system of functional neurology. It can be used alone or in conjunction with other treatments to achieve optimal results.

Rêve Pavilion has successfully treated thousands of patients for a wide variety of problems and injuries over the years, and we are confident that we can help you too!
